Health Review Appointments
We are gradually offering routine nurse appointments to patients from 15th June onwards. Please be aware however due to increased spacing of appointments and some staff being non patient facing, appointment capacity is reduced compared to normal.
Annual Health Checks
We are beginning to send out invites for our patients with long term conditions again. Please note due to capacity issues and the backlog created by the lockdown we are having to limit the number of these and prioritise patients with certain health conditions.
If you have received a letter inviting you to book an appointments, please click the link for your practice below to access this.
If you have not had a letter inviting you to book an appointment, we are unable to book an appointment for you due to reduced capacity and backlog but we will send out invites as soon as we are able.
All follow up reviews with the practice nurse including Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Bp etc will be happening over the phone to minimise footfall at practices at the moment and will be booked by the HCA/Nurse.
Asthma reviews will continue to be carried out over the phone for the foreseeable future.
The national invites for smear tests are once again being sent – they also have a back log so we will endeavour to provide enough appointments for these.
All patients on B12 injections have recently had their care reviewed. If you have any concerns or queries regarding your B12 please contact our clinical pharmacists.
Contraception and HRT
Due to capacity and to minimise footfall, contraception reviews will continue by phone for the moment.
We are only doing these if requested by a GP for new symptoms, routine dopplers are not resuming at the moment due to capacity issues.
We no longer perform ECGs in house – these are now completed at Wansbeck General Hospital and are requested via a GP.
Due to capacity issues we are not currently booking:
- Travel Vaccinations
- Coil Removals
- Implanon and Coil Fittings
- NHS Health Checks
- New Patient Checks
Due to safety issues we are not currently able to perform:
- Home Blood Pressure Monitoring (unless you have your own machine)
