How do I contact the surgery?

A list of our contact numbers can be found here. We also operate an online service, Anima. This service will ask you to select from a number of symptoms, and will ask a series of related questions.

If you need to call the surgery for a routine matter, you may be offered a pre-bookable appointment within the next two weeks, depending on the nature of your request. If your request is more urgent, please call at 8 AM for a same-day appointment.

How do I request a fit note?

For any new fit note requests, or if the doctor has requested to see you for a review of your fit note, you will need to arrange an appointment with a GP by contacting the surgery.

For extension of an existing fit note, we recommend you submit an extension request on the administrative section of Anima. This is a quick and convenient process, and we will keep you updated on the progress of your request via text or email.

Please note that you can self-certify for the first seven days of illness-related absence. To obtain a statement of sickness, ask your employer for the necessary form, or visit gov.uk for more information. After seven days have passed from your first day of absence, please call the surgery to arrange a fit note.

How do I book an appointment with a nurse?

You may be asked to make an appointment with our nursing team. This may be for a number of reasons, including taking a blood sample, administering an injection, or to review long-term conditions.

To contact our nurses, please call the surgery, and press Option 3. Please note that blood tests can only be arranged when requested by one of our clinicians.

How do I order my prescriptions?

If your medication has been placed on repeat, you will be able to order your medication when it is due by calling the surgery on Option 2, or using the NHS App.
If your medication is acute or has not been placed on repeat, you may need a review with a clinician. Our prescription team will advise you if this is necessary upon receiving your order.

Please note that the prescription team are available to call on Option 2, from 8:30 AM to 12PM, and from 2PM to 3PM. If you call outside of these times, you will be able to place a voicemail, which we will aim to action within two working days.
