Valens Medical Partnership at Lintonville, Ashington

Our Lintonville surgery, previously known as Lintonville Medical Group, is now part of Valens Medical Partnership, a single practice which also merged Wellway and Brockwell Medical Groups.

Our Lintonville surgery is a large and friendly facility located in the centre of Ashington, Northumberland. We’re close to the bus station and taxi rank and we have a patient car park.

New patients are always welcome.

Lintonville was formed in 1968 when a number of Family Doctors in Ashington came together to provide medical services to the community. The original principles of providing patient care of the highest quality through team work as well as being a Teaching Practice, are more evident than ever as we form part of the Valens Medical Partnership.

We are keen to support the NHS and provide training for all whilst ensuring we keep up to date with medical developments. The original house is now only used for administration purposes as a ground floor purpose-built extension provides disabled access to all our medical services, including NHS Community Staff such as District Nurse, Midwife, Health Visitors, Dietitian and Podiatry not to mention a hundred hour Pharmacy.

The GP Partners value their members of staff who are encouraged to develop skills and share ideas, thoughts and concerns which ultimately enhances the care provided to our patients.

GP Earnings

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £60,842 before Tax and National insurance. This is for three full time GPs, five part time GPs and one locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.
